Vantaan Energia Oy and Empower IM Oy have signed an agreement on September 5, 2016 regarding an invoicing and customer information system (CIS) service delivery. The value of the implementation and two-year service delivery is approximately EUR 2.5 million.
“We want to ensure our future success in the evolving electricity market by using a modern and modular solution, which offers necessary service interfaces for our customers and other stakeholders”, says Pertti Laukkanen, CEO at Vantaan Energia Oy.
“EnerimCIS service will contribute to our financial performance with automatic and real-time invoicing processes. Also datahub readiness and robust message exchange functionality were the most important selection criteria”, says Pertti Laukkanen.
“We are very pleased that Vantaan Energia, one of the biggest electricity retail sales companies in Finland has chosen to implement the market’s most modern invoicing and customer information system available, EnerimCIS. The platform enables Vantaan Energia to be in the front line for meeting the future challenges for electricity companies", says Mika Yletyinen, Managing Director of Empower IM Oy.
EnerimCIS is built to meet the needs of the developing Nordic energy market and the future challenges of the distribution system operators and energy suppliers. With EnerimCIS, it is possible to provide the necessary future solutions, e.g. managing the charging of electric cars, small-scale production, flexible consumption and energy communities.
“Vantaan Energia’s decision will strengthen EnerimCIS’s position as the number one strategic platform for electricity retail sales. Among DSOs, Empower IM Oy is already a market leader since for instance Elenia and Caruna have chosen our services and Elenia have even progressed in commercial use”, says Mika Yletyinen.
Empower IM Oy’s EnerimCIS is built to produce automatically all processes needed in the energy retail market. The service provided to Vantaan Energia is operational through webbrowser, and it can be easily adjusted to changes in the electricity market. Furthermore, the modular system allows customers to combine also third party suppliers and systems to the platform.
The service is due to commence during the first half of 2018. After the implementation phase, Empower will also be responsible for the maintenance and support of Vantaan Energia’s EnerimCIS system and its capacity services.
