Implementing physical electricity sales in the Nordic countries
We have helped Axpo Nordic AS ever since they started expanding their energy sales business from Continental Europe to the Nordic countries in 2006. Empower was selected as the implementing partner of physical electricity sales in the Nordic countries. We were entrusted with the responsibility for information technology solutions, as well as for routines concerning invoicing services related to the physical delivery of electricity in various countries.
The project was the first time a harmonised service concept was created on a significant scale for a party involved in Nordic electricity sales. The aim of the project was to implement a uniform operating model so that differences in the country-specific energy market processes could be minimised from the perspective of Axpo's business operations. Axpo's success in Nordic energy markets proves the positive outcome of our cooperation.
