Easy and effective energy management
Trading in electricity wholesale markets covers the whole of Europe, with the markets also expanding outside national borders. To ensure smooth trading, the processes of all market parties must operate without any interruptions. Process efficiency in turn determines the success of business operations. This is why it is important to use modern tools that are guaranteed to work. Our EnerimEMS energy management system is specifically designed for the management of wholesale market processes. The user interface upgrade completed a year ago raised the system’s SaaS tools to a whole new level.
EnerimEMS helps to keep all key wholesale market processes under control, including spot trading, real-time balance management, as well as balance and energy settlements. In this service manager’s opinion and also on the basis of user feedback, the system is a flexible and intuitive tool, in which customer-specific services can easily be packaged from Empower’s product range and from customised applications. The customer-specific energy management system, ranging from measurements to invoicing, is easily available to all members of the entire organisation, as EnerimEMS also offers various reports for different needs. Customers can easily generate reports on their own energy consumption and production, set alarms for any irregular values and produce initial invoicing information and validation information for checking their own invoices to the extent that is necessary.
In our activation projects, the browser-based user interface is always built in accordance with each customer’s service package. This enables separate views for different user roles. This is useful, for example, in situations where some processes are produced independently, while some are acquired as a service. When Empower takes care of daily services of customers, they can use the system, for example, to view and enter data. Furthermore, as every user has access to a personalised view, the data system makes working quicker and supports business operations. The system is also available as a SaaS delivery, where customers maintain their service package using different tools offered by the system. Of course, role-based views can also be built to maximise the system’s ability to support effective operations.
We upgraded the EnerimEMS user interface a year ago. The upgrade focused specifically on new SaaS tools and improved usability. At the same time, the user interface underwent a facelift, and we built new time series, reporting and message views in the system. On the basis of user experiences and feedback collected during these past nearly 12 months, the EnerimEMS system has evolved into an effective tool for running processes in energy markets – a system with excellent SaaS capabilities.
When talking about system development, we can always continue our journey to the next development stage, together with our customers and Empower’s end users. We have received volumes of feedback and development ideas with regard to the functioning of different tools, and we are continuously developing the EnerimEMS user interface based on these, both from the points of view of service production and SaaS operations.
